Interested in learning safe and responsible hunting practices? Join us for a free two-day Hunter Safety Course taught by certified volunteer instructors from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.

Sunday, June 28 | 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
This course includes at least 10 hours of in-person instruction and is required for many individuals who plan to hunt in Illinois. It’s a great opportunity to learn about firearm safety, conservation, and responsible outdoor practices.
Registration is required and must be completed through the IDNR website.
The Fossil Ridge Public Library will be providing refreshments during both days of the course.
