Fossil Ridge to host talk on Biomimicry

Join us on Wednesday, July 30th for a fascinating evening with Naturalist Kim White as she explores the world of biomimicry—how nature inspires innovative solutions to human challenges. Discover how a kingfisher influenced the design of a high-speed train, how geckos have aided space exploration, and how hedgehogs are helping reduce concussions!

This engaging presentation will feature real-life animal ambassadors and highlight the incredible ways science and technology learn from the natural world.

Kim White brings over 20 years of experience teaching at the Brookfield Zoo Education Program. She's a passionate educator, gardener, quilter, and caretaker of about 20 pets—mostly reptiles and amphibians.

This program is best suited for adults and teens ages 15 and up.
