YOUTH PROGRAMS

Registration begins September 1st for all programs

Preschool Storytime
Registration begins January 23 @ 9 am and continues through February 3.
**New Time** Monday evenings @ 5:45 pm beginning on Feb. 6 through March 26
Tuesday mornings @ 9:30am beginning Feb. 7 through March 27

Storytime features sharing books, fingerplays, interactive flannel board and crafts. Children must be three (3) years of age by Dec. 1, not yet in Kindergarten and able to attend on their own. Parent /Caregiver need to stay in the building during storytime. Each child may bring one show and tell to each session, storytime lasts approx 20-25 min. Registration is required, limited class size.



Lapsit
**New Time** Monday evenings 5:45 pm beginning on Feb. 13
Wednesday mornings @ 9:30am beginning on Feb. 15

Lapsit is designed to encourage interaction and strengthen the bond between parent and child. Babies/Toddlers age 6 months to 3 years with a parent/caregiver. Registration is required, limited class size.



LEGO Building
Kids can build every Tuesday morning after Storytime. No registration required. Begins Feb.7


Mother Goose
Wednesday, February 15 and/or Wednesday, February 22 @10:00am

Come and join us for Mother Goose activities, stories and crafts for preschoolers with a parent/caregiver.
Registration is required. Limited class size. Approx.1 hr. programs are free Two sessions- both sessions are different so you may sign up for one or both.



Decorated Birdhouse Craft
Saturday, Feb. 25 @ 10:00am

Come in and decorate a wooden birdhouse that you can hang outdoors to help our feathered friends!
Registration is required. Age 1st through 5th grade. Limited class size. Free.



Babysitting Clinic
Saturday, April 14 from 10am to 1pm

Joan O’ Malley from the American Heart Association will present a babysitting class that will discuss the roles and responsibilities of a babysitter as well as basic first aid. Must be age 10 (5th grade) or older. Limited class size. Free. Registration in person only. Fossil Ridge residents only. Participant must attend all day to receive a certificate. Please bring a sack lunch and doll (no stuffed animals).


Homeschool News - Dates to remember:
Friday January 13-Noon
Pizza - Movie Day at the Library. Everyone is bringing pizza for themselves and a pizza to share along with two 2-liters of pop.

Wednesday, February 1, 4 p.m.
Bowling at Riverfront Lanes in Wilmington, $1.25 per person per game.

Thursday, March 1, 10-Noon.
Field trip to X-Treme Trampolines $6 - $8 per person depending on number attending A waiver is required.

Family Fossil Hunt
Saturday April 21st

Meeting at the Library -9am before driving to Mazonia.
Waiver must be signed and $5 fee per person must be paid at time of registration. Kindergarten age or younger is free. Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Contact the library for more info.
