CHILDREN'S PROGRAMS

LAPSIT
Weekly programs for infants and toddlers.
Monday evenings @ 5:45pm from January 28th to April 22nd
Wednesday mornings @ 10:45am from January 30th to April 24th.
For infants and toddlers age 6 months to 3 years and their parent or caregiver. Registration is required.

PRESCHOOL STORYTIME
Weekly storytime for children aged 3 to 5.
Monday evenings @ 5:45pm from January 28th to April 22nd
Tuesday mornings @ 9:30am from January 29th to April 23rd
Wednesday mornings @10:45am from January 30th to April 24th.
Children must be able to attend storytime on their own. Storytime includes a show-and-tell, reading of 2-3 stories, and crafts. Children may bring one show-and-tell item each week. Registration is encouraged.

READY READERS BOOK CLUB
Monday afternoons @ 4:00pm from January 28th to April 22nd.
Book club is for beginner readers. Children aged Pre-K to Second grade are encouraged to attend. Book club will consist of reading one book a week, focusing on reading comprehension and pronunciation, book discussion, and related activities.

BUILD IT WITH LEGOS
Tuesday Mornings @ 10:15am. Toddler to Kindergarten-aged children use their imaginations to build and play with Legos.

SMARTY PAINTS
2nd and 4th
Thursday afternoons @ 3:45pm – 4:30pm from January 24th to April 25th.
Bi-monthly craft activity after school for 3rd – 5th graders. Registration is encouraged.

WINTER WONDERLAND FAMILY FILM NIGHT
Monday evenings @ 5:45 – 7:00pm February 4th & February 18th.
We will be showing fun winter-themed family movies for parents and children aged 6 months and up. Children are welcome to bring pillows to lounge on during the movie.

WINTER WONDERLAND CHILDREN’S BOOKART CRAFT
Saturday, February 16th @ 10:00am
Miss Mallory will be teaching a bookbinding workshop, where you will learn how to make a winter-themed carousel book. Children aged Kindergarten and up welcome. Registration is required. Children must be able to use scissors competently in order to participate in the workshop.

ASTRONOMY FOR EVERYONE
Wednesday, March 27th @ 6:00pm.
Learn about the universe from the very small to the very large with Astrophysicist Kevin Manning. After the presentation, patrons will have a chance to view celestial objects in the night sky, such as the rings of Saturn, craters on the Moon, etc., weather permitting. Registration is not required, all ages welcome.

UPCYCLED & RECYCLED CRAFT DAY
Saturday, April 13th @ 10:00am
Join us for a day of recycled crafts in early celebration of Earth Day! Kindergarten to 5th grade. Registration is encouraged.


Homeschool News
The Braidwood Area Homeschool Co-op will be meeting every Friday 10am – 2pm beginning September 14th
Upcoming Field Trips for all ages:
Sep. 7th Garden Patch Farms and Orchard - $7.00 per person. Wagon rides, chicken feeding, and u-pick produce.
Jan. 16th Extreme Trampolines. Huge building filled with floor trampolines. Reserved for 2 hrs.
